Articling & Summer Students

You’re driven. You’re bright. You want to make a difference.  So why join a mass of students grinding through huge files with little variety and client contact?

Our Firm

Houser, Henry & Syron LLP is a boutique business law firm with a 75 year history, located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district.   Our firm has built long-standing client relationships with companies across Canada, Europe, Asiaand the US.  We advise clients on a wide variety of business issues and practice in the core areas of corporate/commercial, real estate, employment, and wills & estates.

Why Choose Us?

We offer an inspiring work environment where students are immersed in the practice of law through a wide range of assignments and still have time off to enjoy their summer!

Our students:

  • Work closely with senior lawyers.
  • Gain direct client contact.
  • Benefit from feedback and tasks that build on drafting, critical thinking, practice and client management skills.

Tips for a Successful Interview:

These were written from our perspective—but they’ll help you make a better impression in any law firm interview.

  1. Speak clearly and simply. Plain language indicates a person knows what he or she is talking about.
  2. Review our website and ask questions based on what you’ve learned about us.
  3. Think through why you want to work for a firm our size, doing our kind of work. What attracts you to Houser Henry?
  4. Be prepared to tell us things about yourself that aren’t in your résumé.  We’ve read the résumé; an interview is to help learn more about you as a person.
  5. Smile and relax. Show us a person we’ll want to spend time with for years to come.
